A fellow with a real love of learning was Billy Breckenridge of Anderson, Georgia. Billy taught school for a period of 70 years. History tells of many people who merely wanted to get into the thick of battle for battle's sake. World War I, for example, produced Charles E. Stewart of New Orleans. Stewart enlisted in the Canadian Army before the United States became involved, seeing action in France. It took the military almost three years to discover something wrong about Stewart. It seems he was slightly underage, having enlisted at the age of 13. Believe It or Not!
