Though the owner of a chateau in France has long since died, her memory lingers on in a most unusual way. The Chateau de Malmaison near Paris was long inhabited by Empress Josephine and still stirs memories of her through the perfume she used. It seems she doused herself heavily with musk, and subsequent owners of the chateau have tried unsuccessfully for over 100 years to erase the memory of the perfumed empress. Believe It or Not!
