The only job she can find is as a scantily-clad photographer in Ace’s nightclub. Seamstress Mrs. Foster tells Nancy that the girls who work in the club are “real, honest, decent people like you are!” Tom comes to visit but is ashamed when he sees her at work and Nancy breaks up with him. She and Dr. Eric fall in love but when photos of her in her work outfit are published in the newspaper, she fears he’ll dump her. Eric says he loves Nancy and doesn’t care about her job. |

Still unsure, she returns to Cosmo and he advises her to marry the man she meets who’s wearing a carnation. It’s Eddie, who is also an actor hired by Hal to play Cosmo. Eddie and Lucy will marry. |
