Kaänga, Ann, and N'geeso pursue the thief back to the city, where Ann is taken captive. The schemer, Kasna, demands that Valla follow the law and wed the holder of the bracelet; if she refuses, he will kill Ann. Kaänga and N'geeso arrive in time to stop the ceremony; Kasna is killed; and Valla elects to keep her bracelet herself. |
