Margaret becomes bored and tells Peter she's pregnant and wants to have her baby at home; he's being shipped overseas anyway, so he agrees. She resumes her social life and when Peter returns to the USA, she refuses to live with him. He also discovers her lie about pregnancy. He leaves but Margaret discovers this time she really is pregnant. Rick and Margaret reconcile, on his terms. |

Stan returns and explains he couldn't get away for their first date, but he now wants the "sweet and kind" Ruth he met before. She agrees. |

To stay in Hawaii, Nancy gets a job as a nurse's aide in the Naval Hospital. She learns "happiness isn't just a lot of noise and laughter." Brad shows up, wounded. He's going back to their small town and Nancy will go with him, as his wife. |
