| Synopsis | Spunky has always wanted a horse. His father buys some horses for the ranch, and when one of them (which turns out to be Stanley - a talking horse) refuses to work he plans to get rid of him. But Spunky and Stanley convince his father that Stanley should remain as Spunky's horse. |

| Synopsis | First appearance of Cora Sue Lee. Spunky avoids an invitation from Cora Sue because he doesn't want to play with (ugh!) a girl. He says he will be busy with "injun trouble". Cora Sue disguises herself as an Indian chief looking for peace, and eventually gives Spunky a welcome kiss (from the squaws of the tribe). Later, when Spunky finds out about the ruse and realizes he got a kiss from Cora Sue, we see a lovesick Spunky sitting on his porch daydreaming. |
