The Clipper Kirk story in Wings Comics #5 (Jan 1941) depicts an attack on the Firth of Forth navy base by a flight of Dornier Do-19 heavy bombers. In reality, the Dornier Do-19 was a German four-engine heavy bomber that first flew on October 28, 1936. Only one prototype flew, and it was converted to a transport in 1938. The other two were scrapped.] If such an attack had actually been made, it most likely would have involved the Dornier Do-17 light bombers or the Heinkel He-111 medium bombers. Also, the cover illustration and the title "The Torpedo Patrol" corresponded to the Clipper Kirk story in the previous issue.
