This 6 page strip appeared in Knockout Fun Book in 1947. I have no idea of the artist or whether there were other appearances of the character. I rather liked it and I hope you do to. Any help greatly appreciated. There is more information about this book at the bottom of the page

I didn't even know that George E Rochester's Flying Beetle had been turned into a picture strip. I always enjoyed his air stories and this one is lots of fun.Thanks for posting.
