Text stories are usually ignored by most people in favor of the more visual stories, but that said, the text story about modern slavery here by Bill Finger definitely caught my attention.

The propagated take on Slavery today is that it only affected Africans who were taken to the Americas - which of course it did. The full story is very different. At least a million European Slaves were held in Northern Africa between approximately 1530 and 1780. Ships used to raid the coasts of Western Britain and capture the population of entire villages, particularly in Ireland. Here are two accounts.
