The index card and credits are for the issue 4 of the 1949-50 series; this is dated 1958. There's something creepy about that cover. The pose and position of Spooky's hand combined with the mound on the snowman's (snowwoman's?) chest and his/her expression makes it look like Spooky is creating a Me Too Moment.

SynopsisOld Bill the prospector tells Spunky that he has a good mine, and has to go file a claim on it. He's afraid Squint Jackson will sneak in and work the mine while he's gone. Spunky makes a painting of a mine entrance. When Squint comes around, he sees the "entrance", but Spunky keeps moving it before Squint reaches it. This "ghost mine" frightens Squint into leaving the area. It fools Old Bill also when he returns.
