2 Points. It amuses me that if you were to talk to most 'Movie Buffs' today about a star named John Payne, they would tell you that no, you spelled it wrong. More interesting. The text piece on the inside cover says that Susan Morrow was tested and accepted for a part in 'Gasoline Alley' That was a popular comic strip at the time. So..... was Gasoline Alley the first comic book movie? This was in 1951 and must have been popular, because there were two made in the same year. She played Cat-woman Lambda in the science fiction film "Cat-Women of the Moon" (1953) Cat Women of the Moon (1953) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b788p9qC1-Q Susan Morrow is also interesting because she was the sister of Judith Exner. https://www.imdb.com/name/nm0607554/bio?ref_=nm_ov_bio_sm She had a brief career, only 10 years. And for your viewing pleasure, here is the Green Glove! Not bad. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AAfml8lKMec Cheers!

"The Green Glove" comic book version was a very good production. It was well drawn, very faithful to the spirit and plot of the film, showing everything necessary, but with no wasted use of space, - which is vital, when given only 14 pages to tell the story. It would be a good advertisement to make me want to read the book or text short story, or to see the film. But, on the other hand, I'd rather not have seen and read the comic book story first, because that would spoil the suspense and knowing the ending beforehand. Which is why I stopped reading "Classics Illustrated", because it made it difficult(if not impossible) to "live in the story, of either a novel or film.
