I didn't care much for "Witchetty's Tribe" but this collection shows that Jolliffe is not only an excellent cartoonist, he also has a gift for drawing landscapes and for observing the everyday details of his settings. His figures and animals are likewise full of life. Nice stuff. A few of the gags are even funny.

Great backgrounds and animal and human characters drawn bye Joliffe. He really captured the feeling and humour of Australian farm and ranch life. It might not be very funny for city slickers. But it's nostalgic for people who come from farm country back before 1960, and especially before World War II. I'd like to have seen comedic comic book stories from this artist/writer.

I meant to rate the art a 10/10. oops

Very interesting, very well drawn, also amusing, for example page 24, on which the artist also manages to create enormous depth in the picture.
