NotesTIM VALOUR #3 was published by Leisure Productions, estimated to be in July 1948. Tim Valour is an anthology title, consisting of three separate storylines (in this issue): TIM VALOUR by John Dixon, a science fiction adventure story; THE SKYMAN by Vladoslav Horek, an aviation adventure story; and RIP WESTON by Les Such, a pirate adventure story. It was a long running comic, and the stories featured varied from time to time, although the Tim Valour strip is a constant – although the series was reset two times so that the initial science fiction style was replaced by two different war settings. The strip, John Dixon’s first comics series, was popular and reputedly included over 150 stories.

The Skyman story is early work by Yaroslav Horak who would go on to do the internationally published JAMES BOND strip. He adapted most of Fleming's books and stories, which are available as graphic novels. 'In Memoriam: James Bond comic artist Yaroslav Horak' https:downthetubes.net/in-memoriam-james-bond-comic-artist-yaroslav-horak/ thanks Dan! Skyman, I think is currently being revived by FREW in their Giant-Sized Phantom compendiums.

Thanks for this Downunder Dan. I love the works of Dixon and Horak. Do you have any other Aussie titles?
