| Notes | LITTLE TRIMMER COMICS #2, published by Approved Publications in January 1951 (estimated). It started out as a digest-sized anthology (that varied in size and contents) over its 22 issues. This issue features ALAN GREY, an investigator working for the government; AVIAN TEMPEST, a former RAAF pilot who leads a crew of a ‘tramp’ cargo plane into dangerous jobs; LEW MARSON, an astronaut exploring in nearby space; MARCUS VARIUS, a centurion in the days of Julius Caesar; and comedy strips. A great variety of content for the young readers of the day. The art and stories are uncredited, and were produced by a studio of artists lead by Eric Porter. Avian Tempest was the breakaway star of the comic, and that strip is attributed to Terry Murphy. There is more information about this book at the bottom of the page | |||
