NotesCOMICS LIBRARY was a title that swaps between four different features. This issue is number 15, featuring NAVY COMBAT by Virgil Reilly, and was published in December 1953 by Red Circle Publications. This issue tells the story of the last battle of the HMS Glowworm on 8 April 1940. The Navy Combat issues of Comics Library generally feature retellings of true events, and are the work of Virgil Reilly. Almost all other comics published under the Comics Library title are reprints of American comics. This issue is reconstructed using a scan of the story from a reprint comic and a separate scan of the cover.

Comics Library had a range of features. They were TIM HOLT in issues 1 and 4 (US reprints); WARFRONT issues 2, 4, 8, 11, 14, 17, 20 and 23 (US reprints); ROCKET SQUADRON issue 3 (Australian original); NAVY COMBAT issues 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21 and 24 (Australian original); and FIGHTING FRONTS issues 7, 10, 13, 16, 19 and 22 (US reprints). After #24, WARFRONT and FIGHTING FRONTS continued both continuing the Comics Library with #25 (and continuing to be US reprints). There was also TRYE NAVY COMBAT starting with issue 1, lasting 4 issues. ROCKET SQUADRON took over Fighting Fleet Comics from #16 for the last five issues. TIM HOLT had two series, 17 and 7 issues. (All the Navy Combat and Rocket Squadron issues are illustrated by Virgil Reilly.)
