NotesCOMICS LIBRARY 9 is a war comic with rotating features. This issue is Navy Combat by Virgil Reilly, published by Red Circle Press in June 1953. The Navy Combat issues all recount a true story of war at sea during World War II, in this case the events leading up to the sinking of the Bismarck-class battleship Tirpitz. Eventually, the Combat Library title was retired, and the three rotating features were published as their own comics – True Navy Combat, Warfront, and Fighting Fronts.
