NotesTRUE PIRATE COMICS 3 is an anthology comic published by Frank Johnson in February 1948 (estimated). The stories are based on historical pirates, generally 1-3 episodes per pirate, with each pirate’s story told by a single creator. This issue includes CAPTAIN JOHN AVERY by Ian Alison, the BARBAROSSAS by Peter Chapman and HENRY MORGAN by Phil Belbin, as well as poems and ship information.
