I bought a slabbed comic for the first time a couple months ago, because it was a comic I really wanted and I despaired of finding a good non-slabbed copy. When it came in the mail, I was hard pressed to figure how I would get the comic out of the slab. I watched videos, but they all seemed to involve breaking the slab--and I don't like to break things if I don't have to. But then I realized that I could pry it open from the side and slide the comic out that way. I wouldn't reccomend this for really high priced comics in high grade condition, since you could crinkle the comic as you try to slide it out. But my copy was VG, so I didn't see the harm. Since the slab is still intact, I could probably slide the comic back inside, if I really wanted to, but I doubt that will happen--I can use the slab as a divider.
