I just noticed, that there are many more stories in the English version than in the German original version and the drawings also are not original, but only the original style, according to the note on the flyleaf. I find this very interesting and will try to get more information on this subject.

Yes.  it will be interesting to find out who drew and wrote the added stories, an from what original source they were taken, and to what degree they were changed to be come adapted to Hoffman's style.
