Actually, 711's remarks at the end of the first story are enough to blow his not-so-secret identity wide open. After which I find it hard to take the whole thing seriously, until his ... but wait, I don't want to give away the startling ending! Over all I think it's a nice idea badly managed, but thanks to FraBig for collecting it all for us.

I'm all-in for some good ol' Golden Age naivety, personally. Always makes the stories more interesting to read!
But his tragic end seems like a rational consequence to his not-so-secret identity.
