I agree with Jim Ludwig and Eric Schumacher that the entire book is lettered by the same individual. However I would suggest another candidate as the possible letterer – Herman Stackel (1904-1990). In Alter Ego #110 (June 2012), Leonard Starr, artist of The Black Buccaneer, says this of Mr. Srackel: "Herman Stackel was at Funnies Inc. when I started, and was there after I left. He was a letterer, and I guess in his later life work dried up or something. He was very bitter, and I was very, very sorry to hear that. He was a terrific guy, and as far as I can remember he was the only letterer there."
