The Adventures of Smoky Dawson began as a radio adventure series in 1952, with episodes being broadcast until 1962. The show starred Smoke as himself, a sidekick called Jingles, Smoky’s horse Flash, and a young friend named Billy, who would often get into trouble. A regular villain named Grogan would often be thwarted. Smoky often enjoyed a bowl of Cornflakes (Kellogg’s was the sponsor of the show), and would sometimes sing a song.
