I heard with great sadness of the passing of John Cleland, someone who was a major part of the early days of comics fandom in Glasgow and who was closely involved in the world of comics until a few years ago. Always happy to help out at marts, never failing to keep us all entertained as he searched out Jesse Marsh titles.
John, or Wee John as he was affectionally known, will be completely unknown to you out there as he was an analogue comics collector. He wasn't online, never had a computer and never wanted one.  But that didn't stop him being so knowledgeable, especially about Dell and silver age DC.   And he was a friend.
That's two wonderful parts of the comics world we've lost this month. Thanks for the memories John.
