Synchronicity continues to raise it’s head.
Jerry Butler of The Impressons passed just last week after a long second career in Chi-town politics.

‘Boomerang’ of course, was in CHILDREN OF A LESSER GOD, with Bill Hurt and Marlee Matlan, that was the first time I ran into it.

THE KRAFTMATIC MOVIE also helped introduce me to Sergio Corbucci, the OTHER ‘almost Sergio' from Italy who was supposed to be ‘almost as good’ as Sergio Leone. HELLBENDERS, with Joseph Cotton. It was worth staying awake for on a Saturday afternoon.

1964 was a great year for music. You had all The Beatles and the rest of the British invasion, but also prime Motown, Roy Orbison, Dionne Warwick and maybe just maybe Spectors’ best single (‘You’ve Lost that Loven’ Feeling’) Everybody remembers The Beatles but forgets the other stuff or can’t pinpoint the year.

Makes up for “Don’t Let the Rain Come Down’...brrrr.....
