I am unable both to upload an avatar photo and to change the time settings to my local time. Can anything be done?

Hi K,
I was only able to add an avatar once I saved it on ImageShack.com (125x125 is the site default) and copied the link into my profile.  The direct upload option here does not work.

As for setting the time that does work for me.
Click 'Profile' and then 'Look and Layout Preferences'.  Second option is 'Time Offset.'  The site is set at Eastern Standard.
