Zippy & Snappy
« on: October 08, 2014, 02:17:07 PM »

I have here a couple of old flirtatious story magazines from 1934.  They are not comic books, but are similar in style to some of the textual story magazines posted here.  I am wondering if the site's rules or interests would include such things.  They are:

Snappy, July 1934 (D&M Publishing Company, Inc., Wilmington, Del)
Zippy February 1934 (Shade Publishing Co., Philadelphia, PA)

Each runs to 68 pages.

If there is interest, I will scan, archive and upload as my schedule allows.

Thank you

We'd have to check the copyright status and also due to certain agreements we can only offer "family friendly" books. Well not quite .. but we can't have any "rude" bits showing and also too overt text.

It is a bit of a shame as we've had to pull what I think we'd all generally consider mild under the counter books, just to be safe. I'd love to show a sample of vintage "hot" (but not porn) material, but that would need a bit of working out and is currently a faint blip on the bottom of the radar screen.

Update: I just found a Snappy online and that one would be a no! And by the look of it I am afraid the same goes for Zippy. BTW have you seen

These issues may well be there if not then that's where they should go! Regards Mark

Thank you for your reply.  These are a bit on the (slightly) rude side without being overtly sexual.  The images are drawings which reveal no nipples or worse and the stories tend to be very tame by modern standards, being suggestive but not explicit.  Thank you for the link - I will check it out.
