English smaller size when i was growing in 50's. Thriller series. From memory were mostly Classics ala Classics Illustrated. ( yeah, i know probably still copyright ) but if anyone could enlighten me or better still find some i would be rather pleased.   Fri 13. Watch out for ladders in your path and don't walk over black cats. Thanks team. Cheers.

The well known Thriller Comics - later Thriller Picture Library - started in '51. This series did publish classic tales, but not the Classics Illustrated type. These were popular, historical adventures of Robin Hood; 3 Musketeers; Rob Roy, Dick Turpin; Claude Duval etc.  But it's possible you remember another pocket library which isn't listed in the British guide.  I seem to recall a cover design from the series but I have absolutely no info. on them.  There was another Thriller, digest sized, published by WDL and featuring Spanish reprints, but that didn't start till '70.
This is going to annoy me as I wonder if my memory is correct.  I'll be at the Edinburgh Con this weekend and will ask around.  Don't hold your breath.
