Science fiction comics in general usually have reptilian characters, so check out Fiction House's Planet Comics.

Centaur Comics' Amazing Man Comics #5-13 had a feature called Chuck Hardy that had the characters running into strange creatures.

Basil Wolverton did some sci-fi series, Spacehawk for Target Comics #5-34 (Novelty), Space Patrol for Amazing Mystery Funnies v2 #12, 19, 21-24 (Centaur) and Meteor Martin for Amazing Man Comics #25 & 26 (Centaur).

There's probably a few reptilians in some of those books.

Here are a couple of lizardians which I hope might be of use to you. Lance Hale fights Lizard Men beginning on page 27 of Silver Streak #4:

Dagar, Desert Hawk fights the Lizard People, who actually prove to be just people with lizards (female people only), first story:

Reef Ryan fights some genuine lizard people in Planet Comics #23 (page 11):

Captain Future takes on some Reptile Men (Page 18 of this compliation):

But his creatures seem to have been lifted from Reef Ryan's Neptunians in Planet #24 (Page 22)

There are lizard people in several of our pulp magazines, but I presume you meant comic books. There are also some lizard people living a few houses down the block from me.

Not public domain but the very best lizard like men in comics have been the "Serpent Men" of the King Kull and Conan comics. More believable in appearance.

Since these creatures first appeared in Weird Tales in 1926 its not unlikely that there are PD illustrations to be found out there somewhere.

Yeah, for whatever reason, reptilemen just don't seem that popular as characters, and the few continuing ones seem to be stuck in the roles of villains (Killer Croc from BATMAN, The Lizard from SPIDER-MAN). The only exception that comes to mind is Ch'od of the Starjammers (from X-MEN). He may be a space pirate (which seems like a very popular career choice among space reptilians), but he's a good guy.
