"Take Fire!" is pretty close to "Flame On!" Also, the death of the main villain in the first story is sort of surprising (oops, spoiler). And I'd have thought that the "Red Ant" would have been depicted as a Communist, given the date of this comic, but no. The two Aesop's Fables stories are drawn in a very nice, realistic style.

Why are "Animal Fables" placed in the ad-hoc section titled "Other Titles"?  They were published by "Fables Publishing Co.", under the umbrella of EC ("Educational Comics", or "Entertaining Comics").  If the current owners of EC's copyrights have this title under copyright, Animal Fables" is NOT PD, and shouldn't be uploaded on this website.  If the current owners do NOT have this title under their copyrights, then there should be no problem having this series uploaded on Comic Book Plus, and no reason to have its scans stored in this ad-hoc category.

If we go by the publisher, "Fables Publishing Co.", that could be placed in the "Small Publishers" category.  If we believe they belong to EC's publishing group, we should make a new category for EC's PD series.

However, it seems the Administrators here are worrying about drawing the attention of the current holders of EC's copyrights.  So, if that is the case, why not have us go by the "Fables Publishing Co." name, and bury it within the much larger "Small Publishers" category, where it will be less conspicuous than being among a small handful of titles in the "Other Titles" category?

By the way, "Mad Hatter Comics" also seems to be under the same umbrella type production/distribution arrangement with E.C., having had its funny animal artwork produced by the same studio.  Yet ITS publisher, "O.W. Comics Corp." was treated (correctly), as a small publisher, and properly placed in that category.  If ALL the EC funny animal comics are similarly not falling under current copyright protection, I can upload the remaining "Animal Fables", and all of "Animated Comics", "Dandy Comics""Land Of The Lost", and "Tiny Tot Comics".

Aministrators - please inform us of the status of EC copyrights related specifically to its funny animal series and one-shots. so we can know whether or not they can be uploaded to Comic Book Plus.
