Confession time.

As a kid back in the sixties, I used to secretly like reading the Archie comic books (and related things). They were low on my list beneath British comics, Amazing stories-type reprints, DC, Marvel and so on - but nevertheless, if I had a bit of loose change, I would pick one up.

I've never seen any of the Riverdale TV series - but it seems to be exploding with spin-offs. Anyone care to tell me what it's like - is it worth watching? Is the Sabrina series linked in any way to a series I used to watch with my son when he was small on Nickolodean - I used to quite like that.

What I've read about the series gives me no desire to watch either Riverdale or Sabrina. TV Spinoffs include Katy Keen and believe it or not Sam Hill Private Eye. Comicswise, we have 'Jughead the hunger' Vampironica' Josie and the Pussycats in Space' and Sam Hill meets Archie' Draw your own conclusions. Then again, Archie meets the Punisher actually exists, I have read it. Oh and I forgot, Betty and Veronica in a team-up with Red Sonia and Vampirella.Limited series. Maybe the lockdown will put a stop to it.
Cheers!

Looks like you are a prophet Panther :>

Both Katy Keene and Sabrina have been cancelled! - though Katy Keene will be available on BBC iPlayer at the end of this month.

If I don't find the time to start watching these, they will disappear into the ether.

I watched season one of Riverdale, even enjoyed it in its attempts to be a teenage Twin Peaks, but still haven't managed to watching the next seasons. Maybe I've already got tired of the "let's twist those childhood characters as much as we can" stuff.

As for Sabrina, I really enjoyed the dark tone used and the aesthetics for this horrific not-so-teenage show. I've watched all three parts so far and can't wait for the fourth. I find this series really pleasant.
