I was a big fan of this in the late eighties - bought all three collected volumes - loved the fifties retro chic - but then zap! it disappeared completely.

Anyone know why?

I know Mark Schultz has moved on to write Prince Valiant - but it seems a shame for such a strong brand as C&D to have been shelved

As was I. Great series, and a great idea. No idea why it just stopped. I have a collection somewhere and I think I'll dig it out.
Thanks for reminding us all about it.

Well Andrew, can't find any info on why it stopped, but maybe he just made so much money out of it he didn't need to keep doing it. After all :-
It spawned
> a role-playing game
> In 1993 A sidescrolling arcade game
> An Animated TV series
> Cadillacs and Dinosaurs: The Second Cataclysm, a 1994 console and computer game

And the entire first saga has been re-issued as a hard-cover collection.
Most of the episodes of the TV show are to be found here. Along with walkthoroughs of the games
