I've heard it's a tie between the first Superman story from ACTION #1 and The first Batman story from DETECTIVE #27.

After those, I wonder who is next?

Best reprint of a complete single comic book as close to original as possible - The USPS "Action Comics" #1 REPRINT From 1998 with the FIRST DAY ISSUE stamp on a special overlay cancled in Cleveland,OH on September 20th of that year.

If you've never seen it - it's really neat - actualy Golden Age size,better quality paper than the original newsprint. ALOT better than the oversized reprint! It's one of my favorite pieces in my collection. It cost $7.95 when it came out.

I think your choices are the top...I don't know if even Wonder Woman would come close.

That USPS edition sounds awesome, but I still love my 'Famous First Editions' run for sheer geeky goodness.

I'm glad they reprint GA comics if for no other reason than to introduce new readers to the time. I have a couple - Marvel Comics #1, Batman, Superman, and All Star comics. I actually don't like that the paper is so bright and colors so vibrant. It's good to have and hold but I like "realness" of the comics here.

You are correct! I keep forgetting about the many times Marvel tends to reprint Marvel Comics #1. I am hoping that if some good comes out of the recent "Smallville: Absolute Justice" tv film, that DC will reprint All-Star Comics #3 as a teaser for new fans.
