The 'Walter Lehning Verlag' brought the comic piccolo format from Italy to Germany. Piccolo is the Italian word for small. The "Piccolos" were soon a popular and handy comic format: 17 cm wide and 7.5 cm to 8 cm high. The inexpensive booklets were a huge success in Germany. Thousands of such issues have certainly appeared in various series. Unfortunately they are not public domain.
