Both Hultgren and Blair were trained at Disney as the Bambi crew, to be able to draw animals in motion from any angle, by watching images of real live animals moving, through a kinoscope, then drawing over both still shots from that, and also making quick sketches from watching the kinoscope at full speed for hundreds of hours. They become some of the best artists in The World at drawing animals realistically, and then using that knowledge in simplifying the figures down to a cartoon image of the real animal's biological structural and physical motion situation, to provide the desired visual simplification and yet, keep the accuracy of movement.
Both of them worked for The Sangor Shop in their comic book careers, and Hultgren also worked for Western Printing, drawing Disney Comics.
