NotesMany artists and animation fans know Ken Hultgren's excellent book The Art of Animal Drawing. This earlier book includes all sort of cartoon figures with an emphasis on comic book art.

Do we have enough 'How to draw' books to make a separate category? Would be a drawcard.

Some of the samples in here have a definite "Disney" look to them. I also see influences from Will Eisner of "The Spirit" fame, particularly around page 36. There are even influences from Walt Kelly's "Pogo" comic strip. A great reference, especially for those interested in drawing funny animals.

Just want to second the Australian Panther's suggestion. I've spent a lot of time at this site without knowing about the how-to-cartoon books. Teaching the craft deserves a prominent place of its own.
