I picked up the first issue of this new $3.99-40 page (plus covers) series from Dynamite this week.  It contains reprints of the first four 8 page Green Hornet stories from Helnit's December 1940 issue of Green Hornet Comics #1.  I expected the stories to scanned but they've opted for the more expensive digital color drop out/line restoration/recoloring approach.

At this rate it will take them approximately nine issues to get through the Hornet material in the six Helnit issues.   After that the Harvey issues should keep them busy for some time if sales warrant it.

Got my copy of the golden-age Hornet yesterday (at last!) and I was pretty impressed with the overall quality of this issue. I've read the scanned stories before, so the content was no surprise , but it's a wonderful feeling to hold a paper copy in your hands. Will this series sell? I'll buy it,of course, but can it attract enough younger buyers to keep it profitable? I certainly hope so. Cheers, Bowers
