The artist is Rodney Sutton. He was a very prolific contributor to girls’ titles. He also had a very distinctive and original style, although you would never know it from the work he does for these early PLs. It seems that at this time AP/Fleetway wanted a fairly standardised style for its girls’ comics, and Sutton wasn’t the only artist who had to tone down his natural originality to conform to the house style.
