I'm familiar with Will Eisner's Hawk of the Seas, but Peter Pupp is new to me. It's credited to Bob Kane, although Comic Vine says that it was scripted by Ruth A Roche and drawn by Bop[sic] Kane. It reminds me of Floyd Gottfriedson's Mickey Mouse adventures.

Kane's art on this one is classic '30s animation style.  We should make a compilation of all The Peter Pupp Jumbo episodes.
