Hello everyone,
My name is Stephanie Brosk, but I go by stephbarton on messageboards. I currently live in Falls Church, VA (yay DC traffic).
I'm only 24, but have been reading comics since I was 10. A few years back I read a story that had Mary Marvel in it and I've loved the character ever since. Being a fan of the Marvel Family isn't easy however, or at least being a poor fan of the Marvel Family isn't easy as it's hard to find quality stories with them in it for any reasonable price.
However, I've been pretty lucky in hunting down some of the modern appearances, but in also picking up the old Shazam! series issues that had the reprints in them (good stuff). I was later directed to this site by a fellow Marvel Family fan and have loved every second of it.
So I would really like to thank everyone who is involved with this site. From those who have the stories to begin with to those who scan (which I imagine must be difficult) for everyone who runs this.
As I read more Marvel Family books (and the other Fawcett characters) I begin to realize why it was the Golden Age of comics. There is just so much imagination and different ideas it is amazing. Although looking at all these books, I think I'm going to have to get a new hard drive for my laptop to hold all of this
