Actually, I'm having the same problem, and I've been on board for a LONG time (I just haven't tried to download anything for months).  I tried this evening, only to be told that I've exceeded my limit (but it gives my limit as "0" so I'm pretty much out of luck...).

The weird thing about this...and I really do not mean to offend any forum member with the following, although some will be offended...too many members take the scans and never contribute $$$, postings/comments, or new scans.

Free is good, but now folks are finding out the downside of free.

Based on the number of "I've contributed money, can I get more downloads? Hey what's that yellow glowing banner?" posts I've read, I think there are some who will contribute. I know I'm trying to sock away some money so I can contribute.

Well Rev these have to be reset by hand which means by me. So you are now set. Yes Asltaldo it does seem that people are willing to give. When I first joined nonVIP's had a limit. I have no problem if you someone does not find the site worth contributeing to then it is not worth downloading from. Most can afford a little money and if not everyone can contribute to the community. The newbies who have done just that to be upgraded have made some really fun happinens round here.

Same problem as others. Been registered for ages but haven't been on for awhile. CP says my limit is 0 and I haven't been able to dl anything since I've been back. What to do?

It has been over a week now since I've been able to download. I keep getting the "You've Exceeded" message!

If you're a Newbie, you get 20 downloads a month. If haven't downloaded anything, Narfstar will have to come on and manually reset you. Currently he is the only one that can do it.

I think there is one thing that needs to be clarified.

The allotment is set as max 200mb and max 20 files per month.

As soon as one of these is exceeded you cannot download anymore. So if the files were 10mb each you could download 20 before your limits were hit. But as they are normally a lot larger say 30mb then you will only be able to download 6/7 before exceeding your allotment,

So the limits being hit are download bandwidth of 200mb rather than file numbers.

Okay, so if you're a newbie, you can download a total of either 20 files or 200mb, whichever is hit first. Is that a batter clarification?

Also, According to skybandit, he went from Newbie to Junior after he hit 50 posts.

Are the different levels of membership posted anywhere?  Like how many posts do you need to get to advance from Junior to Senior?

Well, right now I only have 550kb left. I know Narfstar is busy so I'm not going to bug him about resetting me. I have plenty to read. I think Skybandit actually made a post somewhere about how many posts equates to what rank.

Riazon you have reached within 3 megs of your monthly limit that is why you can not get any more.
BTW: he has not been around much lately due to real life, but OtherEric can help out if he drops by.
The member status was something built in to the software. Other than the special groups like JVJ and VIP which were added. Hopefully when Janus shows back up we will be getting a couple more mods. Whew I will be able to take a break. Check again Astaldo

Even if you don't want to say the exact amount, can you tell us what the time limit has been set to?  Is it still 1 month or has it gone back to 1 day for you?
