Cover and interior artwork by Arthur Horowicz. More often in Thriller Picture Library during the 1950s. Apparently always worked on historical strips. (I agree in general with Andrew999 about the Roundheads - at least before Cromwell slaughtered all the proto-democrats and abolished both Parliament and Christmas.)

I agree with you about Cromwell. Despite his broad coalition having the right initial intentions - the Levellers and Diggers, for example - he soon dropped those and took the short road to tyranny.

On Oliver Cromwell,
While Cromwell make some terrible mistakes, particularly in Ireland, He did restore Parliamentary Democracy, something unprecedented even to this day for a dictator,
