Nobody seems to have mentioned that this is an adaptation of "Maza of the Moon," by Otis Adelbert Kline, which was serialized in Argosy magazine in 1929.

I've seen this story in another comic as well, the artwork was very different, more refined.

This is, indeed, odd that Avon wouldn't credit Kline for this story but did credit Ralph Milne Farley for his "An Earthman on Venus" issue. Both Avon editions were released the same year, 1951. An oversight? Cheers, Bowers
