Things like this make me glad Im not trying to become a professional commercial artist anymore! I cannot believe how suddenly this technology appeared! I try to keep up with the areas of both art and artificial intelligence, and even I was caught by surprise!

Theres this new technology that will create paintings for you!

Now wait a minute, before your skoff and say thats nothing new, Photoshop has had filters that make any photograph look like a painting for years now, thats not what Im talking about! Im talking about a new artificial intelligence that will create a painting for you from scratch!!

Again you skoff. No wait! Hear me out! This will create a painting for you from scratch in any style imaginable, from Comic Book to Renaissance painting!

You skoff for a third time! No, you do not have to provide it with a source image! Like I said, it will create it from scratch!

But wait, theres more! To use this AI, you dont have to be a programming expert, you dont have to tweak a bunch of knobs and dials and settings and parameters to get just what you want. You simply tell it what you want it to draw or paint in plain English! And it will do it for you!

And again, it will do it in any style you desire, and it will look indistinguishable from a drawing or painting created by a professional with years of experience and training!

Most people have not yet heard of this technology I think, just as most people had not yet heard of the Internet back in 1993, but the changes this technology are going to make rival those of the Internet, not to mention the changes artificial intelligence will make on society in the years to come. And progress is speeding up and getting faster and faster!

As soon as I heard about Dall-E, I had check to see if there were other similar technologies out there, just to make sure it wasnt a hoax (sort of a pinch me to make sure Im not dreaming moment) and I found a technology called StarryAI. This is not as good as Dall-E (yet) but you can still create absolutely stunning images with it in any genre: science fiction, fantasy, Religious, decorative, Beautiful, inspirational, political, etc. Heres an example of a work I did using StarryAI.

And who creates and owns the databases it obviously uses to 'create'

Dall-E (at least the latest improved version) has not been released to the public yet, but with starryAI, whoever initiates the creation process owns the artwork! It can be used to create and sell so-called NFT artwork, which, as I understand it, is a term related to cryptocurrency. As far as who will make billions of dollars on it, I hope and believe no one will own or control exclusive rights to the technology. Already, there are numerous services that create artwork for you simply by telling it what you want. So I dont see someone like Mark Zuckerberg buying it out. As to the databases that were used to create the AI, there were so many that nobody can be said to own anything. I searched many of the images created by Dall-E on Google images and couldnt find nothing similar to any of the images it created, so each image is truly 100% unique and original! Also, I have plugged in funny phrases such as King Tut goes disco dancing into StarryAI and each image is 100% unique and different (and many of them are downright hilarious)!

I'm reminded in "City Of Death", The Doctor (Tom Baker) was showing Romana (Lalla Ward) the Louve in Paris, and she started talking about how back home on Gallifrey they have paintings done by computers.  Naturally, he scoffed that this, then had trouble putting into words WHY the works of actual artists on display were superior.  (And then he ran across someone trying to STEAL the Mona Lisa.)
