Just read a Phantom Viking. Can you say someone wanted to copy Thor. Mild mannered teacher becomes Phantom Viking. Nice looking strip though.

Phantom Viking, eh?.  Can't leave me hanging here, narfstar.  In which comic did you find him?  If it was in a British weekly it would have to be Champion or Lion.  Or perhaps an annual?  As to a Thor copy - well, no hammer and he loses his powers if the east? wind blows.  Instead of a cane to skelp on the ground, Larsen carries around a viking helmet and when he dons it he turns into the Phantom Viking.  Corny but fun.  So many more for you to discover now.

OOPS! It was in Crikey, wasn't it?  I always forget about that reprint mag.

You were double right it was in Lion and Champion Jan 14th 1967
