Thanks to our good friends at bdmagexhumator who have kindly allowed us to share their finds of claasic, old French comics, I've started to upload some.  If you look in the French langage section here:-
https://comicbookplus.com/?cid=1733
The new issues are marked "new".  There is some lovely stuff and I encourage you to take a look.
Since I saw a copy of Big Bill many years ago, I've been a fan.  Art by Chott, same artist as on Fantax.
Also, the French continuation of Kurt Caeser's character Will Sparrow by van Straeten.

I've uploaded 2 new pocket library issues today thanks to leegsidd and Mr. Tweedy.  True Life Library #11 is, as usual, rather good. Romance and a mystery.
https://comicbookplus.com/?dlid=82870
Robin Hood in Thriller Picture Library # 166
https://comicbookplus.com/?dlid=82871
As I'm very occupied with a bit of writing, I'll get round to uploading more of those tasty French offerings when I clear the decks a bit.  Bear with please.

More old French landscape comics this afternoon.  Well worth a look. A French version of Blue Beetle and a 2 page episode from a Zorro serial.  Well, one of, it would appear, many versions of Zorro.
They are marked "New" in the French section:-

Paw, thanks for posting these rarities. Quite an assortment, with art ranging from good to unfortunate. The Collection Pic Aventures books, notably Le Mur Invisible, look like amateur productions. I'd like to know more about this publisher. Is it just me, or does the fellow in the circle on the cover of "Puits en Peril" look like he wandered in from a Supermarionation comic?

In an attempt to help Mark complete some of the Spanish series, I've managed to find the rest of the run of Terciopelo Negro (which translates as Black Velvet, referring to the velvet mask sported by our hero)
The files had expired on the original site but were re-uploaded and are again available.  A good series from 1954, published by MAGA. Jose Ortiz Mayo art.
You can find the complete run here:-
https://comicbookplus.com/?cid=2641
Also, the previously unknown #7 of El Temible Pirata.  The series was thought to have only 6 issues but recently #7 was unearthed. Despite an ad for a next issue, it never appeared. You can find the 7 issue run here:-
https://comicbookplus.com/?cid=2479
Art by Bellalta.

All 24 issues plus the Almanaque now on site:-

We've had #2 of the 3 issues Spanish series, Armando El Intrepido, courtesy of Integro for a while. but now we have #1 & 3 to complete the run. Released in 1943.
https://comicbookplus.com/?cid=2914
Written by Jose Maria Canellas Casals who was also artist on the Spanish rip off of Batman and Robin - Robin Y El Murcielago, as well as many other Spanish and French comics.
Oddly laid out with no word balloons, only descriptive text, with each illustration numbered.

Odd little series. The first two stories seem to have been just a dream, though the third seems really to have happened. Armando seems to have a thing for never showing his face to the camera.

The title of #10, "La Pradera en Llamas" ("The Prairie in Flames") reminded me of this funny meme playing off the fact that in Spanish llama can mean the animal, "he [she/it] calls" and "flame."

Wow! Thanks to Mr Tweedy! Makes my week!
I was under the illusion that there were no more Buck Jones tales left.
I found 2 only  - Thieves Highway and Tunnel of Gold.
They are not yet on the latest comics list.
I guess i will have to wait.
How many more might there still to come Paw?
It occurs to me, (and it would be a big job, I know.)
Could we divide the SuperDetective Library books up into character sections?
So one section each for Buck Jones, Blackshirt, Rip Kirby, Rick Random, John Steel, The Saint, Bulldog Drummond, Sherlock Holmes,  and the others I have missed, a section for the SF books and then a general one for the others.
That's essentially what CB+ does with the American publishers. Would make it easier to use.
Just a thought.
Thanks again!

Reading through one of these Buck Ryan books, I see that there was a Sexton Blake comic library.
We don't seem to have any issues of that here.
Are they not PD?
But we do have some Sexton Blake's in the Super Detective library?
Or were the Sexton Blake Library advertised, the text novels which CB+ has in another section?

An updated compilation of Ace Hart and Val Venture today.  This one adds two illustrated prose stories which feature Wayne Boring look-a-like versions of Ace and Val.  At first glance, I thought they were "real" Boring pieces with the head and chest emblem changed. They might be.
There is an additional Ace Hart Strip as well.  "The Atom Man" is really good fun superhero comics.

I've made a right a**e of the remaining Dutch Mirakel Man comics.  They turned up on a link and, without checking, I uploaded them.  When I checked the files, as they weren't appearing properly, I found the pages weren't jpg but webp.  Can anyone bulk convert them as I'm struggling for time?
There are 12 books weighing from around 11 mb to 26 mb.
This is the link if anyone can help.
https://www.mediafire.com/folder/fkw3hfh7i1w77/Mirakel_Man

I shouldn't have started this right now but I was keen as there seem to be a couple of stories not present in the Spanish originals.  I need some time to figure out where they came from and what they are.

Today, thanks to amazing work from Dave Hayward and Yoc, I've uploaded Liberty comics 012:-
https://comicbookplus.com/?dlid=85148
This comic was a in terrible nick when I bought it, for the Black Hood story, ages ago.  Turns out it had never been scanned. Dave managed to scan it and Yoc did an amazing job editing it to get it to a readable condition.
I'm just happy I was able to at least offer it to folk who knew what they were doing ;) ;D ;D ;D

For fans of those school based masked groups, I've uploaded a compilation of three different groups, plus some covers from Schoolgirls' Own Library featuring more masked, robed, hooded bands and individuals.  The Schoolgirls' Own Library was along running pocket library of prose adventures designed for girls and young women.

A real treat! I can't believe how many hooded schoolgirls were running around England. Do you suppose they all got their robes from the same supplier, like that guy in the old Flash series who specialized in supervillain costumes?

I remember reading somewhere--an interview with Evelyn Flinders, maybe?--that the Silent Three were originally conceived as the Silent Six until someone realized what a chore it would be to keep six main characters straight.

A 2nd issue of the Italian series, Za-La-Mort has turned up so I've added a new section for it and the #1 we had on site uploaded by mr golden age a few years back.
The title was issued in 3 series from 1947 - 1947, 12 issues, 4 issues and 12 issues, featuring a comic strip version of a character from Italian cinema. Both our issues are from series 3.

Another old Italian comic, Albi Grandi Avventure with the story of Il Gaucho Nero, from 1935. This is a text strip. with art by Corrado Sarri.

There appears to be something amiss with the Il Gaucho Nero file.  I will check it this afternoon.
File re-done.  Should be ok now:-
