The thing #1 is as good as it gets. Not only is this a top quality scan, but the stories and art are superb. Once you suspend your disbelief and enter the world of "The Thing" you will not be disappointed. I laughed a bit reading this gem.

This comic made it's debut shortly after the release of "The Thing From Another World" http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0044121/?ref_=fn_al_tt_3 . Look at the title plus the first story where the alien/weapon/peacekeeper shifts shape. An obvious adaptation with a twist.

John Carpenter's "The Thing" was a remake of that movie. Both publisher and producer were smart to cut off "From Another World."
