About two years ago, under the "Small Press" heading, there was a link to "MF Enterprises" and their short-lived 1966 "Captain Marvel" titles. It's gone now. What happened? Was it discovered that those stories are still under copyright, or what?

If they were here and are now gone that would be the reason. The dates are very late ... so I guess they had valid copyrights :(

I can't believe anyone would expend the effort to defend the copyrights to those characters. Is a reboot in the offing for the MF Captain We-Can't-Call-Him-Marvel-Anymore? Oh, wel, there's always Tod Holton, Super Green Beret. Spliit! Xam!

If the copyright was not on the cover, inside front cover or first page the copyright is invalid. That is why we can carry the Tower Comics.

I remember now! They were all ok copyrights that somehow had sneaked in. It's a shame, but we are hardly short of books ... well over a million pages! Do the math on reading them all :)

Ah, well. Thanks for the info. I used to have the first two issues of the MF Captain Marvel, but I sold them back in '75, and I just got nostalgic to read them again. (Not nostalgic enough to want to hunt them down and buy them, though. I only look crazy.)
