I am trying to download the following file:
Eerie001     32.6 MB

In my user control panel it reads:
Remaining bandwidth:     80.24 MB remaining
Bandwidth time remaining:     0 Days, 23 Hours, 44 Minutes
Files remaining:    23 files remaining
Files time remaining:    0 Days, 23 Hours, 44 Minutes

I don't know exactly the meaning of the first parameter, I though it was the maximum
download speed, not the maximum size of files. Anyway I am well below the limit.
Then I don't understand why  the system gives the folllowing error when I try to download the file:

"Error: Sorry but you are not allowed to download this file as it is larger than the amount of remaining bandwidth allocated to you for this period. Please check your user control panel for more information on the limits currently available to you.. If you believe this to be in error, please quote the above error and report this to the admin"


Can somebody  explain that? If there a maximun size for downloads form this site?

Definitely I cannot download anything!  I get always the same error whatever the file.

Can you log out, log back in and visit your user control panel again and see if those numbers are still the same? Also how many files you downloaded today?

If so post back with details and also PM me with your username and password so i can check out your account without resetting your password.

This is what my control panel says after logout and login again. The bandwidth has been reduced to 12 MB !!  I have downloaded 6 files plus one failed download that I had to stop.

This is the reason your getting bandwidth issue. Can you do me a fav and of the files you downloaded (6) can you look at their file sizes and post the file and filesize here so I can calculate how much you have downloaded etc.

If its a error on our part ill refund you the bandwidth.

Ok here you go.

Everyday users are given 150MB bandwidth a month. You can only download within that 150MB a day which is there to prevent our server using up all its bandwidth and costing us $$$

Today you downloaded the following:
Eerie 012 - 13.09MB
Dead Who Walk NN 29MB
Dotty 36 - 15.81MB
Four Favorites 08 53.95mb
Atomic Spy Cases 001 - 8.62MB
Attack on Planet Mars - 8.84MB
Avon Fantasy - An Earth Man on Venus - 8.44MB

These total: 137.75MB of your 150MB limit.

If the Eerie file was an error or did not complete download let me know and ill add 13MB back to your days limit.

But there is no problems going on, its working just as we have set it up to do.

If your new to the site the limit might seem strange but we have to have a limit or people will download 50GB of files and then we would have a very big server bill.

The file Dead Who Walk NN 29MB was not downloaded because an error in my
connection made me stop the download and  reset my router.
