ed, you won't find DC here except for ones they took from other companies like Plastic Man. There are a wide variety of books here from the generic super hero books to sci-fi, horror, western, and even romance. I was a writer on "Studly Love Muffin Romance". My wife read a story I did about the one legged rodeo clown named "Hoppy". He was gored 47 times 3 minutes into his first day on the job and fell in love with his nurse, a tall lanky lass with webbed feet named Telulah.
If you believe that, I have a case of Kooba Kola to sell you!

Funny story... I was checking out the Wii Home brew page. Wii Home Brew is an application through which you can play free home made Wii games. Some one there made a Comic book reader. and referenced this site as his site for Comics that he used to test his program. I have pretty much downloaded every comic book on the Internet Archive site, most of them being Western themed titles. I came here hoping to find mystery and horror titles.

Great website - found you through downloading ComicRack. What a great program! iTunes for comics!
I am a big comics fan and have spent many hours scanning many rare and sought after comics - especially TV21 stories featuring Gerry Anderson titles. Also a big fan of DC/Marvel. Favourite artists are UK though - Frank Bellamy, Mike Noble, Gerry Haylock, Ron Embleton up there with the very best. Shout if you want to talk scan swapping.

Welcome aboard Saint. Unfortunatly we can not host any Garry Anderson stuff here. Indeed the copyright law for British comics is harder to follow than US. I have an old Pango that I can not upload here. The site has very few British comics for that reason. If you can research and present to truly public domain comics here they would be greatly apprectiated. We hope we have lots here that you can enjoy

Hello everybody,
I discovered the site because it is a legend on the web and among comics fans, put simply. I am an Italian based in Germany and I write on comics, animation, and so forth. I am currently translating into Italian

I believe google. Just searched "public domain comics."

I'm researching my thesis and wanted some golden age examples to draw from. Looks like a great collection.

Hi guys,  I found you two ways I guess, through a papercraft site Golden Age Superheroes and the site Public Domain Superheroes.  Things look pretty cool.  Just one question though, how do you actually download the comics?  My User CP is showing zero for everything but I have just signed up.  Does it take time to run through the system or did I miss something?

It's basically a digital slap on the back "way to go kid!" "good one!" "Hip hip hooray" etc. I give one when someone makes a good post or uploads a good comic.
