Well here we go--my first try scanning and uploading a comic book file. 

Confessions of the Lovelorn issue 75 (Lovelorn_75.cbz in the ACG Lovelorn folder).

Note: I did everything in Linux on a family computer, so let me know if you can read it in Windows. I hope you enjoy it.

I think you may have forgotten to push confirm when you were done it does not show up

I navigated to this page:

There, I clicked on the Upload File Link. I filled in the Download Name, Description, Author, and selected the file from my computer for the Download. Under the Categories section, only two choices appear: Unsorted Files and Peter Wheat. It doesn't seem to matter if I right or left click on either or if I highlight one and type a letter (as mentioned in the tutorial). I filled in the CAPTCHA Code and clicked Preview. The download (actually upload) started. I waited for a while and then got the following message:
Error: You can not put downloads in the base category. Please select a different category. If you believe this to be in error, please quote the above error and report this to the admin.
So, I looked at the page again, and it does look like it's trying to upload to the home page. As a guess, the fact that no options are selectable in the Categories section (for me, at least) may be a cause.

Note: I tried again this morning, and the file appears to have uploaded. You might check again.

Sorry, I forgot to mention that newbie members can only upload into Unsorted.
Then a mod will check it and move it to the proper folder for you before approving it which I just did.

I also experimented with the Number of Thumbnails feature and included a thumbnail image of the cover, although I don't recall seeing them used on the download pages. Where would they be used?

Hey Yoc, that is cool!  Can you do (say) a half dozen of them? I am guessing that 4-6 would provide a preview of the cover and the title page of 3-5 inside stories.

Hi Corinne,
Yes, I believe you can have more than one thumbnail.
Instead of saying '1' try a higher number in the 'number of thumbnails' entry.

And congrats! 
You are now a VIP member.  You can now select the proper company folder when uploading a book.
Note - if you aren't sure which publisher to use just ask here or use Unsorted and a mod can sort it out.

Perhaps we should consider requiring proof that the person is some minimum age before allowing them to download this "saucy" title.

Say, I see you uploaded it again, was there something wrong with the first one already on the site?
If you were worried it didn't make it up the first try likely you just need to hold on a bit longer until I or one of the great mods here can activate the upload.

Let me know if I should delete the second upload or the first.  They are the same size on my end.

Hi Yoc, I did not upload the Secrets file twice--at least not intentionally. The original file is 23.3 MiB (24,408,819). The six thumbs run between 6.7 and 7.7 KiB.
